First Presbyterian Church of Dunn Mobile Device Management (MDM) Terms of Use

1. Introduction

Welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Dunn’s Mobile Device Management (MDM) program. These Terms of Use govern the use of devices that are managed under our MDM system. By enrolling your device in the MDM program, you agree to adhere to these terms.

2. Purpose

The MDM program is designed to ensure the security and proper management of mobile devices used for church-related activities. This includes safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring that devices are used in compliance with church policies.

3. Scope

These terms apply to all devices that are enrolled in the MDM program, including desktops, laptops, smartphones, tablets, and any other mobile devices issued or approved by First Presbyterian Church of Dunn.

4. Device Enrollment

  • Eligibility: Only devices issued or approved by First Presbyterian Church of Dunn may be enrolled in the MDM system.

  • Enrollment Process: Devices must be enrolled in the MDM system as directed by the church’s IT department. This may involve installing an MDM application and configuring device settings.

5. Use of Devices

  • Authorized Use: Devices enrolled in the MDM system are to be used solely for church-related activities and purposes. Personal use of church-issued devices should be minimal and within acceptable limits.

  • Compliance: Users must comply with all church policies regarding acceptable use, including but not limited to data protection, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.

6. Security and Privacy

  • Data Protection: The MDM system will enforce security measures such as encryption, remote wipe capabilities, and password requirements to protect church data.

  • Monitoring: The church reserves the right to monitor device compliance with security policies and access data related to device management, but will respect user privacy in accordance with church policies and applicable laws.

  • Incident Reporting: Users must immediately report any security incidents or loss of devices to the IT department.

7. Device Management

  • Updates: The IT department will manage and deploy software updates, security patches, and configuration changes as needed.

  • Support: The IT department will provide support for device issues related to MDM. Users should contact IT for assistance with any problems.

8. Responsibilities

  • User Responsibilities: Users are responsible for the proper use and care of their devices. This includes following all security protocols, safeguarding the device from loss or theft, and not tampering with MDM settings.

  • Church Responsibilities: The church will ensure that the MDM system is maintained, security policies are up-to-date, and support is available for enrolled devices.

9. Termination and Removal

  • Termination of Use: The church may terminate device enrollment in the MDM system for reasons including but not limited to policy violations, changes in employment status, or the device being lost or stolen.

  • Device Return: Upon termination or when no longer needed, devices must be returned to the IT department for deactivation and data removal.

10. Amendments

The church reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time. Users will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of the MDM system constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
