Worship: 11:00 AM
The main event in the life of our church is worship at 11:00 AM every Sunday morning. We hope you and your family will join us for worship. If you plan on visiting with us, here are a few things to expect:
OUR WORSHIP iS CASUAL, BUT TRADITIONAL.
Come as you are to worship. Our service is a traditional reformed worship service: you can expect that we will give thanks and praise to God together through the singing of hymns to the piano, organ and occasionally the guitar; we'll confess our sinfulness before God together and be reminded of God's grace; we'll read and learn from scripture together; we'll rejoice and weep with one another in prayer together, and we'll be sent out to show God's love to the world together.
CHILDREN ARE WELCOME, BUT A NURSERY IS AVAILABLE
God welcomes children into worship, and our service includes a special time for children each week. We do have a nursery available for children under the age of four years old.
OcCASIONALLY, WE CELEBRATE COMMUNION TOGETHER
In our tradition, communion (also called the Eucharist or the Lord's Supper), is about being bound together in community to God and to one another through Jesus Christ. We celebrate communion on the first of every other month, and anyone who comes in faith in Christ, regardless of membership, is invited to participate in communion. In our church, the bread and cup are served to the congregation by the elders while the congregation remains seated. If you don't know what to do, just follow the pastor's lead!
WE HOLD EACH OTHER IN PRAYER
Each week, we hold one another in prayer and lift up those we are concerned about--- those who are sick, suffering, lonely and in need. If you know someone who is in need of prayer and would like to add them to our prayer list, you can contact us at fpcdunnoffice@gmail.com.
